Pamporovo, the mountain pearl, is a famous location not only because of the sunny weather, but also the wonderful opportunities for an unforgettable family holiday in winter. Pamporovo has a beneficial climate. The ski season in Pamporovo starts in the middle of December and ends in mid April, because the Aegean influences can be felt in Pamporovo and they characterize the climate. The average annual temperature is 8.5 degrees Celsius. The thickness of the snow cover in winter is about 140-150cm and it can be retained for over 150 days per year. The drastic climate changes are not typical for the resort and there isn’t a danger of avalanches. The sunny ski resort disposes of many ski tracks of different difficulty level and all of them are equipped with modern technical equipment, giant slalom piste. It’s not a surprise that Pamporovo is a regular host of various sports events of local and International significance. The total area of Alpine ski tracks is nearly 17 500m. The ski zone is serviced by 5 seat lifts and 13 drags.
